More beauties from childhood, but one woman’s blossoms are another man’s weeds.  Mom loves these, but my dad always thought they were weeds!  They do tend to be invasive in wet/humid areas so our Long Island backyard(s) have been host to many.  On a recent trip to visit, I had the singular honor of showing mom’s gardener which ones could be permanently removed.  Hint: lots and lots of volunteers.

Hibiscus syriacus – Rose of Sharon, the national flower of Korea (fun fact).

If you are interested in learning more fun facts (aka useless bits of trivia) think about giving me a call at 661-917-3521 to help you design a beautiful garden for you and your family.  You can also visit my website and contact me there.
