Wind Protection

Jan - Downed Tree

Although we usually have high winds in October in Southern California it seems to have continued into November.  Here is some information about Wind Protection and how to protect your plants from the wind.

Wind can damage plants in many ways, from snapping small twigs to actually knocking over trees.  If you plants (especially high profile plants like trees) are newly planted and not fully rooted, they really need wind protection.  Making sure that your newly planted trees have adequate staking or even guy wires is essential.

Please read through to learn more about wind protection, and how to care for your landscape during high winds.

Planning a garden is about more than just pretty.  Taking things like wind protection, sun exposure, freeze, and maintenance is essential to a beautiful garden that can move forward with the years.  If you are interested in a little help, give me a call at 661-917-3521 or visit my website and contact me there.
