It is Easter weekend, spring is in the air and I haven’t reminded you to enjoy the beauty of our California Poppy. The hills are covered, but of course this year’s California Poppy bloom is going to be a little less spectacular due to our drought. Luckily the California Poppy does not need a ton of rain, they have a taproot that can get down into the soil and grab what is available. We had some decent rain at the right time, but of course we need more to create an even more spectacular California Poppy bloom. You can plant some of these in your garden, and with a small amount of supplemental water, have an amazing show.
