Frost Protection

Succulent Sadness

Yes, I’m a little late but I could just as soon been too early reminding you about Frost Protection.  By the time you read this post it might be up to 70 degrees, after all it is January! Since we are very early in the winter here in Southern California it is highly likely that we’ll get another freeze warning or two especially in the Antelope Valley, up the Grapevine and yes – even in Santa Clarita.

One thing I want to stress to you now is that if your plants already suffered damage from this last snap – DON’T prune them! Yes, it looks yucky but if you want to keep them – leave those ugly burned leaves etc. on the plant to protect it.

Here are the details for you to re-read.  How To Prepare For Frost  Please stock up on some frost cloth, stakes or dowels and you’ll be ready for our next cold snap.

If you are thinking about making some changes to your garden but need a little direction, please consider giving me a call: 661-917-3521 or you can check out my website and contact me there.

xoxo
