What To Do For A Freeze Warning

Sands Point Curve

It seems like every year our Freeze Warning comes earlier and earlier.  Last year I don’t remember posting until later in the year, but here it is the first week of December and already the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys have been touched by the cold.  I was working at a job site in Canyon Country this morning and there was FROST on the ground.  The Antelope Valley went into the 20’s!

Better early than late, I am re-running my post on How To Prepare For Frost.

I would also like to mention that both Green Nursery and Green Thumb Nursery in Santa Clarita carry frost protection – Green Nursery has handy blankets that can be used like the frost cloth mentioned in my article (they are the same thing – just easier to use.)   Grab some and be prepared.

Frost - indoor plants

I’ve pulled all my succulents under patio covers, and my plumeria and fancy bromeliads are indoors during the night, it wouldn’t hurt for you to do the same.

Let me help you create the garden paradise of your dreams, large or small, edible or ornamental – if you can dream it, we can create it. I love collaborating with my clients and I’d love to collaborate with you. You can call me at 661-917-3521 or visit my website and contact me there.

xoxo
