Garden Relaxation

Gabriola Island Ground

Welcome to Saturday, a perfect day for garden relaxation.  I plan to take today’s garden relaxation to the max!  I’m posting these photos from a beautiful island in British Columbia.  These photos are from December 2013, so a little less mossy at this time of year.  I am enjoying my garden relaxation on Gabriola now, and though it is August it is an amazingly relaxing location all the same.  Being out in nature always grounds me and helps me find inspiration from the colors of an insect to the curve of  arching branches all of it can be repurposed in a landscape design in my future.

I’ll come back renewed and with plenty of inspirational photographs and ideas from my week of relaxation.  I would love to bring the feeling of calmness, sanctuary, and comfort back with me and into your garden. Taking some of the beauty of British Columbia and keeping it in my heart, makes it easy to access later when I start designing.  I can’t use everything I see plant wise in my Southern California gardens, but I can use the rhythm, unity, repetition, and flow that I see as I walk around in nature.
