Crape Myrtles Begin To Bloom

Crape Myrtle Santa Clarita

Crape Myrtles are an amazing tree, and this month in Santa Clarita and most of Southern California they are beginning to pop into bloom.  Crape Myrtles of all colors and sizes abound, so I thought that it was time to re-run How To Care For Crape Myrtles.

Crape Myrtles are a very lovely tree, versatile and actually quite low water.  I have noticed in many landscapes that although they are very forgiving the Crape Myrtles that shine the brightest and bloom the most seem to have very little water.  Yes Crape Myrtles can survive in a lawn, and for that I am thankful but really they just LOVE to be infrequently deep watered.

My snow white beauty has not yet popped (you’ll see her featured on some Wordless Wednesday soon) but there are many around town and in nurseries for you to enjoy.

I enjoy collaborating with my clients to create the garden that suits them best. I can design for you, design and implement, or by popular demand – help you sort out the next steps you want to take in your garden. If you are interested in any or all of the above call me at 661-917-3521 or visit my website and contact me there.

xoxo
